Vamos nos restringir a apresentar um Assim diz o Senhor sobre esse assunto. A controvérsia já existia na época de Ellen G. White, e um obreiro estava se envolvendo com ela. Veja o que Deus disse:
“Que aqueles que estão apresentando teorias sobre se a terra é redonda ou plana, deixem essa questão, pois Deus não lhes deu isso para ser resolvido [Que] se perguntem com seriedade, ‘o que farei para ter vida eterna?’ Que deem ouvidos à resposta, ‘Amarás ao Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, e de toda a tua alma, e de todas as tuas forças, e de todo o teu entendimento, e ao teu próximo como a ti mesmo.'” Manuscript Releases 21, 419.6

“Let those who are presenting theories as to whether the earth is round or flat, leave this question, for God has not given it to them to solve, and earnestly inquire, “What shall I do that I may have everlasting life?” Let them heed the answer, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.” 21MR 419.6
